Over the course of three days, we engaged with both the East and West HART teams in various locations, including near Reading and Newmarket. The training sessions were intensive and included both theoretical and practical components:
- Day One: Focused on refreshing basic principles and course structures for Polaris ATV operations.
- Day Two: Concentrated on advanced winch handling techniques, tailored to enhance the skills needed for emergency scenarios.
- Day Three: Wrapped up with comprehensive refresher training, ensuring all team members were proficient in both Polaris operation and winch techniques, with special emphasis on patient care during transport.
These sessions were not only about skill enhancement but also about ensuring that the teams could operate their equipment under duress, a common occurrence in emergency responses.
