This 4×4 off road course is perfect for 4WD operators in need of a refresher course. We cover everything from vehicle knowledge, to preparing for winter driving. This course has been specifically design to aid in compliance with the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations (PUWER). We fully prepare 4×4 operators for driving in snow, ice and flood conditions.

In order to enable fuller compliance with H&S recommendations and PUWER, on-road training and assessment is essential. This is because the occupational road risk from larger, heavier vehicles which often have a high centre of gravity is increased, especially in emergency and adverse weather or winter conditions.

Where drivers may be required to drive off-road, this 4×4 off road course provides an entry onto 4×4 driving course for experienced operators. Alternatively, if you’ve already obtained your Pro 4×4 certificate, this is an essential 4×4 refresher course.

Delivery

Training is delivered face-to-face by our fully LANTRA certified instructors. Training takes place on your premises using company vehicles and is a mixture of driving theory understanding and practical application. This course is uniquely assured by LANTRA.

Aimed At

This basic 4×4 familiarisation course is aimed at operators of off-road capable vehicles. It is essential for all 4×4 drivers if they are expected to work in adverse weather conditions and rough terrains. Where government or emergency services recommend not to drive, further training may be required.
