Our UK Familiarisation Course is a comprehensive programme. It’s delivered on site and created specifically for businesses recruiting drivers from overseas. If your employees have to drive for business purposes then it is essential that they are familiar with UK rules and driving etiquette. This ensures their safety and the safety of other road users.

This practical course is designed to successfully introduce or familiarise drivers with UK driving law and will be delivered in alignment with any internal occupation health and safety policies and procedures.

By taking drivers through essential theory and practical applications of driving a right hand drive vehicle our familiarisation course effectively builds a deep understanding of the UK road rules and regulations. This ensures driver efficiency, confidence and safety on UK roads.

Delivery

Training is delivered face-to-face by our fully certified instructors. Training takes place on your premises using company vehicles and is a mixture of driving theory understanding and practical application.

Aimed At

This course is aimed at drivers recruited from overseas, or those returning to the UK after a prolonged absence.

All drivers must have a full drivers licence or permit and must be allowed to drive in the UK.

Typically, licences or permits obtained within the EU are permitted to drive commercial or domestic cars and small vans (category B) for as long as the licence is valid. Non-EU licence holders may drive in the UK for a maximum of 12 months. To check your eligibility please check on the Gov.UK website.
