Building Confidence Behind the Wheel: Advanced Onroad Driver Assessments for WCCTV Ltd

At Beyond Driving, we help businesses manage occupational road risk through structured, practical driver training. This week, we returned to WCCTV Ltd in Rochdale to deliver our Lantra Advanced Onroad Assessment and Development Course for their newest team members – supporting driver safety from day one.

Why Driver Risk Assessments Matter

Whether employees are commuting in their own car, transporting equipment, or regularly driving for work, employers have a duty of care under the Health and Safety at Work Act to ensure they’re competent and safe on the road. That’s where our Lantra-accredited Driver Risk Assessments come in.

Our advanced onroad assessments are designed to:

  • Identify high-risk driving behaviours
  • Build safer, more confident driving habits
  • Reduce the likelihood of accidents and vehicle downtime
  • Lower fleet insurance costs
  • Support compliance with occupational road risk regulations

On the Road with WCCTV

WCCTV Ltd, the UK’s leading manufacturer and supplier of redeployable CCTV, mobile surveillance towers and body worn cameras, understands that road safety is a vital part of protecting people and equipment. With new drivers joining the team, WCCTV brought Beyond Driving back to Rochdale to carry out one-to-one assessments and tailored development sessions.

Our experienced assessors worked with drivers in real-world traffic conditions, focusing on:

  • Urban and motorway driving
  • Observation and anticipation
  • Vehicle control and positioning
  • Eco-driving techniques
  • Company vehicle-specific risk factors

“Using Beyond Driving for our Driver Risk Assessments ensures that we can do everything we can to limit accidents. A huge thanks to the team at Beyond Driving.”

Paul Adcock, HR,
