Many people do not find driving simple, which may be why someone hasn’t already got their driving license - taking a course or learning in an automatic car can make the whole process quicker and easier for the new driver and much more cost efficient to you.
Learning to drive can be made much simpler by removing just 1 pedal! Automatic cars have no clutch, and change through the gears without any need for the driver to do anything. This means that the speed of the car can be controlled with just 1 foot - on the accellerator or the brake pedal.
Automatic cars are much more intuitive to drive, and as such they allow much more concentration to be given to the surrounding traffic conditions. Lots more time can be spent assessing safety, and junctions, roundabouts and hill starts can all be negotiated with much more confidence than in the traditional manual car.
Taking the driving test in an automatic car means that you will have a license to drive any clutchless car. Nearly all cars made today have an option of an automatic in the range, and many are now coming with the automatic as the standard model. The US and much of the rest of the world consider the auto to be the first choice for any driver. Nearly all businesses will offer an automatic as an option for a company car.
