Seminars, Workshops and Toolbox Talks

Driver training has evolved over the years, and so have we! The traditional in-vehicle skills training has its place, but the evidence base for improving driver safety has moved toward cultural change and systems implementation.

We have been providing seminars for drivers for many years as part of our courses, or as stand alone events, including discussion, feedback and review sessions with management. The value in these sessions is clearly proven in research (Work related road safety Effectiveness of Interventions TRL IOSH) and we enjoy engaged and constructive involvement from drivers who attend.

Effective driver safety interventions

We chair group discussion sessions, with a clear itinerary agreed in advance with managment, and can provide guidance on best practice where drivers and managers are unsure.

Training seminars are also valuable for fleet managers, human resources and health and safety personnel, to help them to understand the specific factors which influence fleet safety.

From half-day presentation seminars with discussion forums and a comprehensive analysis, review and recommendations for change, to short ‘toolbox talk’ sessions aimed at raising driver awareness, we can deliver it all at your workplace.

Intended to dovetail into existing systems, or to provide a starting point for cultural change, we can bring our experience to you on a one-off basis, or provide an ongoing programme of events which will both challenge and enthuse your staff.
